Luminaire
Testing Laboratory, Inc. (LTL) is an independent source of
photometric test reports for the lighting industry. In addition
to producing Roadway, Floodlight, and Indoor Photometric Test
Reports, LTL also performs ballast characteristic testing,
electrical system testing, mining vehicle luminaire testing,
and absolute photometric testing. LTL uses a computer controlled,
Type C, swinging mirror goniophotometer to test luminaires.
Test reports conform to Illuminating Engineering Society of
North America (IESNA) standards.
The
lab was established in 1989 in Allentown, PA because of its
accessibility to transportation and distribution. Through
the years, LTL has earned a reputation for producing highly
accurate photometric test reports in a time frame that fits
today's high-speed marketplace. All test reports since 2000
are archived electronically to allow for instant email transfer
of test reports. Through the use of the most recent technology
we can offer high speed delivery while continuing to serve
our customers with the same high quality service we have provided
in the past.
The
LTL family consists of Michael Grather, Herschel Schreck,
and Tracy Silvert. Mike's background is in lighting controls
with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After working for
two years in lighting research and development, Mike joined
LTL as lab manager in 1995. Herschel comes from a background
in machining and toolmaking, and has been LTL's lab technician
since November 1997. Tracy joined LTL in June of 1999 and
offers a background in business and office management.
